“The stonemasons of Sepúlveda (Segovia, Spain) have been sculpting shields, carving fountains, and building houses for centuries. They are specialised in so called ‘Piedra Rosa’ (pink stone), which is extracted from quarries in the area.

These two tables, conceived for both indoor and outdoor use, reinterpret from a contemporary perspective a traditional material, linked geographically to a very concrete area. A course and primitive finish in the lower part of the tables contrasts to the smooth surface of the table top.”
