“In ‘24/24’, the established entities of Fashion and Editorial, nudity and clothing, reality and artifice are ruminated upon, rejected and recast. A study of character and consequence, each session (of a continuing series) focuses upon a single female figure for a sole hour. The only constraints and constants amidst an intentionally figurative narrative, the subject is left to her own devices; inhabiting, interacting with and becoming a part of her ever-shifting, surroundings – driven and directed solely by instinct and the passage of real time.
An interrogation of the Classical Nude and the established oeuvre of the ‘Fashion Editorial’, a single, muted look is worn throughout, drawing no attention but instead informing and encouraging a reaction from the wearer. Standing as a revolt against a society and a medium founded on the created, ‘24/24’ locates and seeks to override our Avatar Culture. If the internet and media allow, even demand, the propagation of the perfect, curated self, ‘24/24’ instead strips away the artifice, alighting upon reality, the fundamentals of living and of humanity constantly in flux.
A continuing project, each session will be published online as they are created. On conclusion, a reedited version of all sessions will be exhibited and independently published.”
